We are an independent sector healthcare provider which provides an NHS specialist service for the diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions ranging from acne to skin cancer. The service has a reputation for clinical excellence and is the largest provider of dermatology services in the UK.
Our patients are at the heart of everything we do, and, in this role, you'll be responsible for registering patients onto the Routine/Urgent Pathway from GPs onto our electronic patient record system - SystemOne. You'll register the patients within 24 hours of receipt of the referral and once registered, you’ll book patients into our clinic locations with the appropriate clinician. The role will also involve liaising with the admin team to communicate clinic capacity demands to fulfil the needs of the patients being referred to us.
A high level of attention to detail is required in this role, along with accuracy and the ability to work self-sufficiently. You will need to be able to grasp processes quickly, be great at multi-tasking and prioritising as well as being comfortable using your own initiative. Confidentiality is an important part of this role, as is the ability to work within strict guidelines and policies. We're a growing friendly team and to fit in well, you'll need a professional, positive, and can-do attitude.
The use of Microsoft Outlook is integral to this role as is Microsoft Word, as well as SystemOne and e-RS (electronic referrals system). Although previous SystemOne or e-RS knowledge isn't essential, you'll need to have a high level of IT competency and be able to learn new systems quickly. Previous healthcare administration experience will be an advantage, however comprehensive training and development can be provided for the right candidate.
Above all, you'll need to take pride in what you do, and have the desire to support the service’s continuing excellence.
Please note that this is a remote/home-based role with training taking place on-site at Worthing Laser & Skin Clinic (BN11 2AA).
